FHA recently announced new guidelines which drastically lower the cost of mortgage insurance enabling FHA borrowers to save hundreds of dollars monthly with limited documentation.

Your income and assets do not need to be verified, so qualifying is easy. You must have no more than one 30 day late payment on your mortgage over the last 12 months.

   Besides the benefit of a lower interest rate,another HUGE benefit is that the FHA upfront mortgage insurance premium has been reduced from 1.75% to 0.01%. With a $150,000 loan amount, the old fee was $2625 and the new fee is only $15.00.
